200 eighth grade students to attend ‘GEAR UP U’ at West Virginia State University
When: June 22-25, 2016
What: GEAR UP U is a four-day, three-night summer academy for West Virginia GEAR UP students in the eighth grade. Students will live on campus, learn more about college, participate in classes, develop leadership skills, and meet students from across the state. Who: 200 eighth grade students participating in West Virginia GEAR UP, a federally-funded program that prepares students in 10 counties for education or training beyond high school.
